Housing Intake Specialist - Receptionist
Janet Burnette

Janet Burnette carries over 18 years of excellent customer service experience, interfacing with customers and providing warm proficient guidance to the client. She’s also an accomplished salesperson making critical bottom-line impacts for her previous employers. She currently serves as the Intake Specialist for the Housing Program and Receptionist for the Foundation. Janet initiates the entire housing process once a call is received into the center.

Certified Housing Counselor
Jeanette Peace

​Attorney Jeanette T. Peace is our certified Housing Counselor.  She is the founder of Peace & Associates Law offices in Sanford, North Carolina. Since 1999, they have grown to include a branch office in Murfreesboro, North Carolina. Their specialty is in the area of Social Security Disability benefits for those who are disabled or been injured on the job and need legal assistance. Attorney Peace serves on other Non-profit Boards, Community Committees and Youth programs in the local community.

Director Human Services

Kathleen Herndon-Lee

Kathleen Herndon-Lee spent a lifetime of service as an educator in the Public School System as well as a Professional Services Consultant for numerous Corporations during her vibrant career. Kathleen joined the White Oak Foundation team in 2006 as Director of Human Services. Kathleen received her BA degree in Education from Shaw University and an MA degree in Education from North Carolina Central University, Durham, NC. Kathleen leads the Human Services Programs for the White Oak Foundation.

Executive Administrator

Yvonne Harrison

Yvonne Harrison worked in both the non-profit and for profit industries for over 15 years. Yvonne’s is currently serving as Administrative Assistant to the Executive Director and Project Manager in selected areas. Yvonne received a B.S. in Business Administration and A.A.S. in Office Information Systems. She holds certifications in NHNLA Housing Counseling, NCHEC Pre-Purchase Homeownership Education, and Essentials of Human Resources Management, Duke University, Durham, NC.

Human Resource, Compliance, and Special Projects

Regenia Sanders

Regenia Sanders is a retired IBM Sales and Services employee with over 40+ years of experience in  Management, Product Marketing, Product Education, Enablement and Computer Consulting. She currently serves as the Special Projects, Compliance and Human Resource Officer for the White Oak Foundation and is responsible for driving the annual Foundation Golf Classic. Regenia received her BS degree in Business Administration: Manpower and Industrial Relations from the Ohio State University. She is currently Information Technology Infrastructure Library® (ITIL) Certified.

Finance Clerk

Dorothy Winston

Dorothy Winston has been a team member of the White Oak Foundation, Inc. for over 15 years. She provides oversight for audits and financial reporting. Her meticulous attention to detail and deep understanding of financial management ensures that the foundation's financial health remains robust and transparent. Dorothy's expertise has been instrumental in maintaining the trust and confidence of stakeholders, thereby supporting the foundation's mission to serve the community effectively. 

Development & Construction Manager

Alonzo Wilson

Alonzo Wilson oversees development and construction projects for the White Oak Foundation, Inc., which serves low and moderate-income families. He was part of the team that founded the organization in 1998. He plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the foundation's mission to provide housing and community development services is realized. With a deep commitment to improving living standards, Alonzo has successfully managed numerous projects that have significantly benefited the community.
