Senior Program

Friendship Café

Seniors gather five days a week for 3 to 4 hours each day at the Friendship Café, a program conducted in partnership with Meals on Wheels. During these sessions, they engage in a variety of activities, including bingo, dominoes, Scrabble, puzzles, crafts, and other mentally stimulating games. In addition, the group enjoys enriching field trips, chair yoga sessions, and interactive lectures from invited guest speakers. They also view videos that provide valuable information on medical, mental health, and legal topics.

A hot lunch is served daily, fostering camaraderie and conversation among participants. As they depart, seniors leave with smiles, having enjoyed their time with both old and new friends.

The White Oak Foundation's Senior Program is dedicated to promoting happiness, well-being, and a high quality of life through services that address nutrition, health and wellness, crisis intervention, socialization, and transportation.

Monthly celebrations include birthday parties and special occasion events such as Valentine’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. In addition, experts are invited to offer lectures on important topics such as Medicare, senior citizen scams, senior nutrition, resources, and transportation.
